San Antonio, TX (November 1, 2021) – A motorcyclist was left with injuries following a drunk-driving accident on Sunday morning, October 31. At around 12:45 a.m., emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Clover Creek.

Reports from authorities show that a motorcyclist was turning left onto Clover Creek when they were struck by an SUV at the intersection of Potranco Road.

The rider sustained critical injuries in the accident and was rushed to University Hospital for care.

Authorities were investigating the driver of the SUV on a suspicion of driving while intoxicated. However, these investigations are ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the motorcyclist who was injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.

Motorcycle Accidents in Texas

Motorcycle accidents in Texas claim the lives of more than 400 people every year. Countless others are left with serious injuries that negatively impact their lives. The fact that motorcyclists have little more than helmets to protect them during crashes means they are likely to sustain spinal cord injuries, broken bones, and even back injuries that require extensive medical care.

These and other injuries often require immediate medical attention. In some cases, victims have to go through long-term care. Not only are injuries incredibly painful and debilitating, but they are often costly to treat. No one is able to completely prepare for the aftermath of a collision. The time following a crash can be extremely confusing. Being forced to deal with painful injuries is only made worse by the towering financial consequences both victims and their families endure.
