San Antonio, TX (February 22, 2022) – A bicycle accident reported on the Northwest side of San Antonio on Thursday morning ended in injuries. On February 17, the police and firefighters were requested on-site at a crash on Bandera Road.

Reports from the San Antonio Police Department show that an SUV was traveling north on Bandera Road when the driver went onto the sidewalk and crashed into a bicyclist near New Guilbeau Road.

The bicyclist, a man in his 40s, sustained critical injuries in the crash. He was rushed to a local hospital for emergency medical care.

The driver of the bus was tested for intoxicants and taken into police custody.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
