Car Accidents in Texas

In Texas, we see our fair share of motor vehicle accidents. In fact, roughly every 2.5 minutes, someone is hurt in a traffic-related incident somewhere in our state. These accidents add up to more than 200,000 people every year. Although the majority of accidents end in minor injuries and disruptions for victims, around 15,000 people are hospitalized with severe injuries that require extensive medical care.

Some of the most common injuries sustained by serious crash victims include:

  • Broken bones
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Burn injuries
  • Back injuries
  • Soft tissue (neck) injuries
  • Head injuries

These and other injuries often require immediate medical attention. In some cases, victims have to go through long-term care. Not only are these and other severe injuries debilitating, but the costs of treatment can be significant. After you leave the hospital, you should reach out to a car accident attorney in San Antonio who can help you recover the compensation you need for these and other expenses you face moving forward.
