Pedestrian Accidents in Texas

Each year, pedestrian accidents in Texas leave thousands of people with painful injuries. Given the fact that pedestrians are unprotected during crashes, they are more likely to suffer severe injuries in accidents. Some of the most common injuries affecting victims of pedestrian accidents include:

  • Severe compound fractures
  • Head and neck injuries
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • The loss of limbs

Accidents involving pedestrians are often caused by the reckless actions of other motorists. Some of the leading causes of crashes include:

  • Drunk driving
  • Distracted driving
  • Speeding
  • Disregarding traffic control devices

When people fail to maintain control of their vehicles, it can have life-changing consequences for other people traveling nearby. Dealing with painful injuries is not something that most people are prepared to do. Dealing with the financial consequences that come with treating injuries can be downright devastating.

When victims are harmed in accidents because of negligent drivers, they may have legal options available to recover. Should you be harmed in an accident, you must seek the assistance of a knowledgeable pedestrian accident lawyer in San Antonio as soon as possible.
