Car Accidents in Texas

Nearly 4,000 people are injured in motor vehicle accidents across the state of Texas every week. These accidents often leave victims with debilitating injuries that require extensive medical care. In many instances, people are harmed by drivers who engage in reckless and negligent actions.

Some of the most common contributing factors to crashes in our state include:

Speeding: We see many drivers go above the speed limits while traveling along our roadways. When drivers are traveling at high rates of speed, they are likely to lose control of their vehicles and have problems stopping in time to avoid a crash.

Impairment: Many people are involved in accidents due to drivers who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Driving while impaired significantly increases the chances of drivers losing control of their vehicles and causing devastating crashes.

Distraction: We see many accidents take place due to drivers who are using their cell phones. In other instances, drivers are distracted by food, radios, and even their passengers. Taking your attention off the road for a moment can have severe consequences.

These and other injuries often require immediate medical attention. In some cases, victims have to go through long-term care. Not only are injuries incredibly painful and debilitating, but they are often costly to treat. If you have been injured in an accident due to these or other acts of negligence, you may have legal options available to help you recover.
