San Antonio, TX (December 20, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident on the City’s South Side ended in injuries late Friday evening. At around 11 p.m., on December 17, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 35.

Reports from the San Antonio Police Department show that a man in his 50s was riding a motorcycle northbound on Interstate 35. For unknown reasons, a red pickup truck merged into the rider near Division Avenue. The impact of the crash caused the rider to lose control of their vehicle. The driver of the pickup truck then fled the scene of the accident.

The motorcyclist was rushed to University Hospital in critical condition.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
