Car Accidents in Texas

Every month, more than 17,100 people are left with injuries following motor vehicle accidents across our state. In many cases, victims have to go through extensive medical treatment and spend weeks off work to recover.

Some of the most common contributing factors to crashes in our state include:

  • Speeding: We see many drivers go above the speed limits while traveling along our roadways. When drivers are traveling at high rates of speed, they are likely to lose control of their vehicles and have problems stopping in time to avoid a crash.
  • Distraction: We see many accidents take place due to drivers who are using their cell phones. In other instances, drivers are distracted by food, radios, and even their passengers. Taking your attention off the road for a moment can have severe consequences.
  • Impairment: Many people are involved in accidents due to drivers who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Driving while impaired significantly increases the chances of drivers losing control of their vehicles and causing devastating crashes.

Although we can be careful to ensure the safety of others, there is no guarantee that other motorists are going to provide us with the same consideration. Instead, we see many people left with severe injuries that negatively impact their health and wellbeing.
