San Antonio, TX (April 19, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident in downtown San Antonio that ended in injuries. At around 3 p.m., on April 18, calls for assistance came in surrounding a crash that blocked Interstate 35.

Preliminary investigations show that a collision between vehicles blocked the upper levels of southbound Interstate 35 near Main Street. The incident caused moderate delays throughout the area as crews worked to clear the scene.

Medical personnel rendered aid to victims briefly on-site before transporting those in need of further care to area hospitals.

The circumstances surrounding the cause of the crash are under investigation.
