In terms of advice, I think for starters, that you want to get started on the process as quickly as possible. You owe it to yourself to get the ball rolling as quickly as possible. Also, you owe it to yourself to hire a lawyer. You only pay the attorney if they win your case and there is back pay. In terms of finding the right attorney, I think it’s useful to find somebody who is local. It’s very helpful to be able to go down to their office and meet with them in person. I think it’s also helpful to find somebody that is well-liked by other clients; you can go online and see reviews on Google or Facebook or different websites where they have reviews. Then finally, I think it’s a very good indicator of a person’s expertise if they are board certified.
