San Antonio, TX (February 21, 2022) – One woman was left injured as a result of a pedestrian accident in the San Antonio area on Monday morning. At around 2 a.m., on February 21, emergency crews were notified that a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 10 required assistance.
Reports show that a 27-year-old woman was driving in the 12800 block of Interstate 10 East, on the westbound side of the roadway, during the early morning hours. For unknown reasons, her vehicle suffered some type of mechanical damage. The woman pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road.
While the woman was standing outside of her vehicle to check the damage, a second vehicle crashed into the rear of her vehicle. The impact of the crash caused the woman’s vehicle to move forward and strike her.
The woman was rushed to a local hospital for emergency care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
